Who We Are

About Dr Joy

Dr. Joy Saville is a medical doctor with a particular focus on obesity medicine, women’s health, preventative healthcare, and chronic disease management.

She is passionate about partnering with patients to improve their health through evidence-based medicine, compassionate care, and sustainable lifestyle change. Her approach recognises that health is deeply personal, and that lasting transformation happens when patients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Dr. Joy has a particular passion for helping individuals living with overweight and obesity. She believes obesity is a complex chronic disease that deserves the same understanding, dignity, and evidence-based treatment as any other medical condition. She is committed to walking alongside her patients as they navigate their weight loss journey, empowering them to achieve better health while improving quality of life.

Her passion for women’s health is focused on perimenopause and menopause, helping women navigate one of life’s most significant transitions with confidence and clarity. She is committed to providing care that addresses the hormonal, metabolic, and emotional changes of midlife, empowering women to optimise their health, vitality, and quality of life.

Her dedication to this work is also deeply personal. Having experienced her own health transformation and losing more than 30 kg, Dr. Joy understands both the challenges and the hope that accompany long-term behaviour change. This lived experience has strengthened her empathy and reinforces her belief that lasting health is built through realistic, sustainable habits rather than perfection.

Alongside her special interests, Dr. Joy continues to enjoy caring for patients across all aspects of family medicine. She remains committed to providing accessible, equitable, and person-centred healthcare, treating every patient with dignity, respect, and kindness.

For Dr. Joy, medicine is far more than a profession—it is a calling to restore hope, health, and wholeness.

Careers With Purpose

the story behind our logo

At the heart of our identity lies a symbol of deep significance—the fusion of our initials, T and J, forming a cross at the center. This design is intentional, representing the Christ-centered foundation of our work. It reflects that our mission extends beyond ourselves; it is other-centered, driven by a commitment to restore justice, dignity, and compassionate care to the people of South Africa.

Healthcare, as we see it, is not just about knowledge and treatment. It is about compassion, service, and faith in something greater than ourselves. We model our approach on the life of Christ, who healed with both wisdom and love. Just as He saw and uplifted the unseen, we are devoted to providing care that is deeply personal, restoring hope where it has been lost.

Logo design journey

The colours we have chosen carry deep significance. They are a reminder that we are covered, protected, and led by His grace. More than a symbol, this emblem is a declaration of our ethos—it speaks of a healthcare system that serves with integrity, prioritises the vulnerable, and believes in both the science of healing and the power of prayer.

This is our mission. This is our heart.
